::+: location is really nice, staff is very friendly, ideal for some drinks on the terrace -: food is ok, a bit pricy for what it is, our lunch was ruined by a group of French tourists standing right next to us complaining about everything and being disrespectful to the waiter, so popular place = things like that can happen

::This place is like a museum! Probably my first stop when I get off the plane and penetrate the Jordaan neighborhood!! Outstanding beer selection and a highly recommended pea soup!!!

::Nice, old, little and cozy local cafe. Friendly service and you can have a normal conversation, since there is NO loud music or no music at all, which it makes even better. This is a place that Amsterdam was ever known for. Unfortunately enough today, there are only a few spots like that in the city. They have a lovely terrace where i can enjoy my spring and summer days ;-) Be prepared to share a table because there are not that many places, which is great because then you might meet new interesting people ;-) The terrace will be mostly full with tourists while the inside bar will be visited by the locals, especially in the evenings.

::Perfect place to sit next to a water. Dont expect the third wave coffee, but the "traditional one". Croissants are amazing and the small breakfast for under 9e in Amsterdam is quite a good deal (with coffee, orange juice, egg, croissant and butter and jam). All in all very comfortable and nice.
