  The good: the cost EUR15 per night, the relaxed nature of the camping, the location (20 mins cycle ride to free ferry to Amsterdam), the free, adjustable, continuous showers with ample hot water; place to charge phones; no noise at night from other campers. The bad: camping pitches in the main field are exposed and big tents (like ours) need to pitch in long grass; limited washing up facilities outdoor (although undercover); toilet and shower facilities not gender separated with only two toilets, urinals and showers for whole site. The unusual: this is not really a campsite for the casual holiday stay. It appears to have a resident population who work locally and know each other which changes the feel of the place, and unlike much of Holland it is messy and unkempt with lots of old cars, vans, bits of wood - you name it - lying around the car park area (where everyone has to park) - however everyone's very friendly. The 'free to a good home' box next to the washing up area was an ingenious way to deal with lost property! Would recommend this campsite to those who like a relaxed, bohemian lifestyle...and want to stay close to Amsterdam for a reasonable price!

  Best campsite in amsterdam. Cheap good facilities. Lovely people.

  Super nice basic campsite with brand new sanitary facilities. Quiet, few spots with electricity in the front of the field. In the middle of beautiful dutch countrysite, yet closeby Amsterdam. 15 minutes ride to the free ferry to the centre.

  Excellent quiet and cheap place to camp. They have now upgraded their toilet and shower facilities so its very comfortable. Its about 4 miles from the city center which is about 20 mins by bike. Public transport is not very common in this area. The place is run by a family who were helpful to me in requests that I had.
