  One star is one star too many for this place. I brought my bike in and asked them to fix a back tyre puncture and check my chain (because it was skipping, a problem I had right at the beginning and they fixed it), check the front brake pads as they were squeaking, and replace the rear mud guard, which I had bought there a few months earlier, and as it turns out they had sold me a front wheel mud guard and installed it on the back (!), which was obviously way too small. So, I get a text later that day to say my bike is ready and that it will cost €208! They said they misunderstood and thought that I wanted a maintenance check so they went ahead and changed the chain (claiming I had done at least 4 to 5,000 km with it – impossible - , that it was ‘very worn’ and also that I had over ‘greased it’), both brake pads (front and back), and 2 gear poulies. And all this without my consent. Not a phone call. Assuming I wanted a maintenance check, wouldn’t they just call to check if I agree with the price? They were also going to charge my full whack on the mud guard, whereas they made the mistake originally. They refused to listen to me when I told them I felt cheated by all this and that I refused to pay for the man hours of the parts I didn’t want (at this stage I was happy to keep them) and they thought that all I wanted with this was a discount. To be fair they did offer a discount but I was unhappy with the fact they refused to acknowledge their responsibility so I accepted their offer to put all the old parts back on and never come back again. Response to the owner's comment: Firstly I did not use my bike wrongly. I've had bikes all my life and never had issues. This is a Trek bike built on quality and can certainly handle the way I rode it, which was in the city. That is just your justification for changing parts that didn't need changing. I took my bike to 2 bike shops after you and both said the chain was absolutely fine. Another lie from you. Outrageous insulting and extremely rude behaviour, really? Yes I raised my voice in the store and I apologised to you by email but I certainly did not insult anyone. You weren't even there so not sure how you came to this conclusion. And let me remind you, the reason I raised my voice is because you changed parts on my bike without my prior agreement, which is just unheard of in your kind of business, and your refusal to acknowledge this, both in the store and when we spoke on the phone. None of this would've happened if you'd listened to your customer.

  Binnenland laten vervangen. Na een half uur alweer lek. Bleek de buitenband kapot te zijn. Zonder probleem door ze gerepareerd en vervangen, inclusief excuses voor het over hoofd zien van de kapotte buitenband. Aanrader dus.
