  I liked the place. Yes its run down and dirty but the place has atmosphere and the breakfast is super, huge and delicious. Sandra is a no-nonsense kind of lady always willing to help.

  Legitimately liked the people who were extremely generous and provided all meals. Great location and would definitely stay here again in Utrecht. Only loses a star because it wasn't the cleanest, definitely manageable though.

  I am giving one star only because of the nice location and the kind woman!! It was not the cleanest place, not even a little bit... the bathroom was awful and it was only one for the whole hostel. A lot of cleaning and improvements are needed to make the place great again. It has potential!

  AVOID! This hostel has some cool staff but the place is a dump! Bedsheets were clearly unwashed and many had stains on them, body fluids and liquids. Floor was dirty and dusty, bathrooms and showers were not clean, sinks had dirt/rust in them. When I checked in, the rooms were clearly disorganized and the lady said things like “yeah we need to buy new pillows for tomorrow.” I ended up just moving to another hostel, as did another woman who arrived when I did since we were both sketched out. At my new hostel, when I told the front desk where I was changing from, they kind of nodded their heads and said “yeah we’ve heard about that place.” For the same price or less, you can easily find better hostels in Utrecht.
