Good Spar store. They do fresh sandwiches around lunch time and you can choose for all the ingredients and so on. I had so many of them from here. I would recommend going early (before 12:00) otherwise you would end up in line to order your sandwich for a while. Or extra tip, preorder the sandwich in the app they have. Is a nice location of this store but is a bit more expensive the products when compared to other ones further out from the center.

Not nice with tourists at all. It is not respectful to treat bad someone who doesn’t speak your language.

A good friendly local shop but bad experience with chicken... Very good shop to buy your local groceries like orange juice ( fresh ) and breads and beers and moisturiser etc. However, I bought some chicken there, and it had 2 days until ‘sell by date’ ( best before ). Got home and Opened the chicken and immediately was hit with the rancid scent of stale meat. I took it straight back and was offered a refund but no apology or explanation. Someone less knowledgable about smell could’ve cooked it. I saw documentary about UK poultry industry routinely sticking new labels on unsold chicken so that it goes beyond its original ‘best before’ date. I imagine this was a similar case. Nothing to do with the young people who work at the shop I’m sure but a distribution center issue. Anyway, I bought a new pack with 6 days until ‘best before’ date and it was fine. I don’t feel the meat is good quality however, at all. Prob best stick to dry goods!

The perfect place to do the shopping in Amsterdam. It really has just about everything you need ( with the exception of strong liqueurs which as I've been told you will only find in liqueur stores). It has a wide variety of beer's and wine's. And also a good selection of ready meals. The baguettes were absolutely delicious. Good shop to have next to your house. Opened all week which was great.
