  Het humanity house biedt een indruk van de reis van de vluchteling. De "interviews" met 7 echte vluchtelingen zijn erg indrukwekkend. Mooi gedaan!

  Bijzondere ervaring om door de ogen van een vluchteling de vlucht vanuit onveilig gebied te zien. Mooie tentoonstelling.

  The Humanity House was a wonderful edition to my experience in the Netherlands. My family is rooted in a history of refugees from the Algerian Genocide to the Holocaust, so I was raised to understand and appreciate the life of modern day immigrants. However, the Humanity House managed to paint a better picture than my parents ever could. The museum manages to make the experiences of a refugee extremely personal. I don't want to spoil anything, so I won't go into great detail, but entering the Humanity House is like entering a new life. The very last room almost made me cry. The staff give you a big piece of paper that has questions on it for you to fill out during your journey. This is a nice touch, as it gets people to think more. The very last question is "how would you describe the Humanity House in one word". The problem with this question is that I can't limit this wonderful place to only a few letters. If I had to, it would either be 'thought-provoking' or 'heart-breaking'. The staff is also brilliant. They are so kind and so patient. They are knowledgeable and can answer any questions well, but most importantly, they are wonderful people. There is nothing negative that I can say about the Humanity House. It's a beautiful addition to a beautiful city. This is a must if you are visiting Den Haag or any surrounding areas. (Side note: the question sheet asks "whom did you meet", but this is grammatically incorrect. It's either "who did you meet", or "with whom did you meet". This kinda triggered me, but I can't hold this against the place. 'Whom' is such an obscure grammatical rule, anyway).

  I absolutely recommend this museum for both children and adults. The museum offer experiential exhibits on human interest topics. My latest visit was for the refugee exhibit. You could follow the tracks of a refugee and learn, see, hear and smell what they do along their journeys. At the end, there were virtual exhibits to "meet" the refugees.

  Also von einem Kriegsmuseum kann man hier nicht sprechen. Primär wird hier über Flüchtlinge und die Lebens- und Aufnahme von solchigen erzählt. Die Darstellung und die Handhabung mit diesem Thema in der Heutigen Zeit wird hier sehr gut dargestellt. Es spiegelt die Brutalität des Leben der Flüchtlinge wieder. Nach der Tour erwartet einen ein Stück Kuchen und ein Kaffee gegen Bezahlung. Beides ist zu empfehlen. Wer aber Militärisch angehaucht ist und etwas über den Krieg (War) zu erfahren z.B. aus der vergangenen Geschichte wir hier bei der Bezeichnung "Kriegsmuseum" in Google enttäuscht sein. Im ganzen aber sehr gut gemacht.
