  Beautifully decorated and very well presented Hotel. With parts dating back to the 1300’s, exposed beams and non uniform rooms this is a real treat to stay at. Staff were superb and nothing was too much trouble. Hotel Parking is nearby with card entry. It is a very tight entrance so take care. Metered street parking in neighbouring streets. There is a lift in the hotel but only to the 5th floor. Anyone on the 6th floor will need to be able to climb stairs. The lift is small taking up to 3 people and light luggage. Seating outside the hotel overlooks the square and a lovely spot for a coffee. A lake with man made lake is just 10-15 min walk away and well worth a visit. There is a clock tower across the main square which has a lively regular chime so if this is likely to annoy you choose a room to the rear of the hotel. Food at the hotel was good but if you prefer less formal eating arrangement there are a wide variety of eateries and snacks to choose from within easy walking distance. Local shops inc pharmacy, hardware and supermarket also close by. Great place to visit and stay a while.

  Erg vriendelijk personeel en mooi hotel. Prima bedden en ruime kamers. Ontbijt duur voor datgene er stond en met 1 koffieapparaat in de rij staan als alle tafels bezet zijn dat lijkt me niet de bedoeling. Er was een bruiloft in het hotel, jammer dat dit niet vooraf gemeld was, het was rumoerig tot zeker 01:00.

  Prachtig hotel centraal van de gezellige markt van Bergen op Zoom. Heerlijke welness. Diner, ontbijt eenvoudig, badkamer en kamer erg klein. Kregen na onze opmerking hierover wel direct grotere kamer.

  Nice old building (oldest hotel in Holland). Room was well equipped but hot (in October!), which meant I had to use the noisy air con unit. There was a funfair going on until 11pm outside my window in the town square, but I now understand it's a public holiday this week so I guess that's not there the rest of the time. Didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked nice. Breakfast was ok, nothing special, and quite expensive.
