Interesting hotel with rooms with character and charming features like exposed beams large windows and canal views. Only issue is no elevator and the stairs are very narrow and steep so if that is a problem call ahead and get a lower floor.

Fairly affordable hotel. This was a week of several festivals so all prices are up. Good size room on the 5th floor with great views. Dated bathrooms but clean and nice.

Very good traditional hotel, with an excelent location (you just get dowstairs and are in front of a tram station, and at walking distance of lots of restaurants and shops). We occupied 3 different rooms, all with a good size, and very nice views. The only shame, was that one room didn't have a bath. Very good service, including a nice breakfast, a good french restaurant, tickets to transportation and touristic recommendations. All attendants were very kind and helpful. A place I would like to stay again in Amsterdam.

I absolutely adore this hotel for my Amsterdam trips. I've stayed here a number of times and the experience has always been positive. The hotel is conveniently located close to the shopping, museum and sightseeing areas, but being on one of the rings means you can have lovely views as well. And bonus - there is a canal boat stop just in front of it! The rooms are nice and spacious, and the concierge staff are friendly and helpful. Not only once have I forgotten an item behind and they were very happy to post it to me. During warm times they will also have a couple of tables outside, and you can enjoy a nice cuppa and do some people watching. Definitely one of the nicest hotels in Amsterdam!

Awesome hotel! We upgraded to the top-floor canal-view room in the old part of the hotel. Unfortunately can only get the lift part way to the rooms and have to carry bags the rest of the way - which involves fairly steep steps. But if you're in a standard room, it's no problem. Staff are very friendly. Bit strange you have to hand your key in to reception every time you leave the hotel, but at least there's no risk of losing it.
