  The first TWO rooms they put me in had mold growing on the walls under the window, before they upgraded me to a slightly larger room. I couldn't remember whether I had pre-paid or not, so I asked TWICE and both times they told me I had pre-paid, but after I left they noticed that I had not. When I asked for their bank information they sent me an illegible file and then charged the credit card I had explicitly asked them not to charge.

  Great location, great rooms, brilliant staff. A lovely place to stay to enjoy the city of Amsterdam.

  Lovely hotel, lovely staff and a very comfortable room, room was a nice size and had everything we needed even a free mini bar it was on the dam square too which was great Will definitely stay there again. :)

  The room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. The free minibar was a nice touch, although for absolute perfection I'd have liked more water provided each day. The location on Dam square is excellent with tram stop right outside. The restaurant was closed but the Swisshotel breakfast was excellent with fresh bread baked on site. Receptionists were helpful and polite even when confronted by drunken businesspeople.
