  Service was extremely slow to begin with. It improved there after. However, some of the chips ( patat) were overcooked ( reheated ). Could do better considering large premises with many customers visiting today and enough staff

  A great place in right next to Amsterdam canals! Great ice- freddo coffee, super tomato soup and delicious fried potatoes Its worth visiting

  The place had an amazing view of the canal, you can enjoy the views on the terrace, perfect atmosphere to enjoy some drinks! The prices are good, next time I will try the food also. Good service.

  Good place to drink & eat something next to the canal. Friendly staff and not expensive despite the fact that is a nice place in the center of Amsterdam :)

  The Café de Jaren is an urban and lively spot in the heart of Amsterdam with a lot of space for alle types of “Café workers” (students, business, etc.). It also offers a solid variety of lunch options, teas and hot/cold and alcoholic drinks. This spot is definitely clean and tidy. It reminds me of those coffee places in New York, high ceilings with a vibrant sound and surrounding, dark furniture. The staff is sort of friendly, but after I went a couple of time (pre-COVID), I felt because of the space for the amount of guests, they were very much just trying to keep up with Service. If you’re a true coffee lover, the de Jaren is probably not the place for you, because they don’t have multiple options of coffee or preparation tools. It’s mainly a machine made coffee with very limited size. The food and smoothies are amazing and the WiFi works incredibly well. I’m coming back regularly once the pandemic has cooled off.
