  Unfortunately, the aquarium cannot be visited separately from the Artis Zoo. But it is a place where you can spend hours and watch all kinds of fish and other aquatic animals. The aquarium building itself is old and solemn. According to Wikipedia, the Aquarium was completely renovated in 1997 with a coral reef, a tidal forest from the Amazon and the fauna of an Amsterdam canal.
