  One of the best kept secrets in Amsterdam. A hidden gem. Has been there for more than 150 years. After a very hectic working day, this is the place where I unwind. Café André Lacroix. Time seems to have stood still at Café André Lacroix. All wooden genuine old fashioned Dutch pub. Cozy atmosphere, warm and friendly. Gezellig. Ideal spot to thaw out near the gas fire on a winter day. Perfect spot to enjoy a beer in the sun after your stroll or run through the Vondelpark. You can have a chat with the locals or you can try to start a conversation with André. The best topic to pick is football. André is a Sparta Rotterdam supporter. A bit odd for someone who was born and raised in Amsterdam. Just ask him why and you are about to tap into a well of unlimited football history. No food. No music. No credit cards. Just drinks, lovely people and their amazing stories. A place where you are more than welcome to share yours.
