  Edit in regard to the agency's response: Dear Marc-Jan, We missed your one phone call, which you placed 28min before the scheduled time of the viewing. You did not respond to the three calls we placed to your personal phone number (the first of which was made 15min after your one call) or communicate anything to your employers, who were unable to tell us why you were absent on any of the four occasions in which we called them directly, other than to say that I should keep waiting as you "must be stuck in traffic". In fact, they said you weren't responding to their calls either. You took until this morning to offer any sort of explanation for your absence, an explanation that came in the form of a condescending and passive-aggressive email, in which you (quite ironically) blamed this entire situation on our "bad communication". With all due respect, I believe the fact that you've published our contact information on a public forum, without our consent, should tell anyone reading all they need to know in regards to the complete lack of professionalism and basic respect with which you've chosen to approach this situation. If this is how you handle criticism, I can only imagine how difficult you'd have been to work with. In hindsight, it's probably for the best that you never showed up. Original review: I scheduled a viewing for an apartment with this agency. The agent never showed up and did not answer their phone. I contacted the agency several times and they never called me back, when they said they would. I was waiting outside for over 1 hour and eventually left. They never contacted me and gave me no explanation.

  1 2 3 Wonen Netherlands . 1 2 3 Wonen Amsterdam . Avoid This Estate Agent! In May 2020 I asked 1 2 3 Wonen Amsterdam to provide me with the service of renting out and managing an apartment in Amsterdam. At the end of August 2020 the decision had to be taken to take back the responsibility for managing and renting out the accommodation. During the period May - August 2020 on at least two occasions the property was taken off the websites and off the market, without any reason. During 3 full months 1 2 3 Wonen Amsterdam was able to schedule 3 viewings in total. When the decision was taken to lower the monthly rent, within a week an agreement regarding renting it out was reached; and then, again, no progress could be made and renting it out would not go ahead. I then received a contract, with all the details of the new tenants and all my personal details, details of my address and details of my bank account included, whilst I was never consulted and never consented to my details being disclosed to these tenants and never consented to engaging in a contract with them. The request submitted was to sign the contract within 24 hours. When I asked the tenants be vetted, it appeared that the documents submitted were dated later that my request and that the new tenants would never be able to afford the rent. 1 2 3 Wonen did not vet potential tenants appropriately and did not ask me to consent to engaging in a contract and to my personal details being shared with third parties. The keys were handed over, with the intention of facilitating viewings of the accommodation. It has been impossible to get the keys back; 1 2 3 Wonen Amsterdam is refusing to hand them back. I now will have to proceed to replace the locks. When the accommodation was visited for a viewing, or for any other reason, the bathroom was used and left, without checking whether or not it was left clean, left without any traces… The apartment has been rented out again; I was able to rent it out within three weeks after having put it on the market: about 2000 web site visits within a period of 3 weeks, that is almost 100 visits daily, on one standard website with almost no fees paid, almost 50 persons who were interested in viewing and renting, 9 invited to view the property on one day, 6 person who wanted to rent the apartment and sign the contract on the spot, tenants who met the criteria found within three weeks after putting the apartment on the market. A different way of doing business, with different outcomes… If it was possible to rate below zero, I would rate 1 2 3 Wonen Amsterdam . Netherlands with a - 3. The recommendation is to avoid this estate agent, like you would try to avoid the plague; when engaging with it, you may lose your time, you may lose money, you will not get back the keys that you handed over in trust and you may have to clean the bathroom again before renting out the property.

  Marc-Jan and Lisa were very responsive and careful with all the interaction for finding our apartment. The place is just like we saw in the website pictures and video they sent to us due to being abroad and couldn't actually visit the apartment. However, everything was smooth and we are happy with our place. Highly recommended

  Extremely professional service. Marc-Jan found tenants for my apartment very quickly and supervised repairs. As a landlord living on the other side of the world, knowing that my apartment's in good hands is very reassuring. Highly recommended.
